Atletico Madrid announced on Friday that Argentine midfielder Rodrigo De Paul will join Inter Miami on loan until December this year, with a buyout clause in his contract.

According to multiple media reports, De Paul's buyout fee is 1,500 euros. Once the buyout clause takes effect, he will sign with Miami International until June 2029.

The 31-year-old De Paul came from the Argentine Athletic Club and used Valencia as a springboard to land in Europe in 2014. After playing for Valencia for two years, he moved to Udinese and joined Atletico Madrid for 35 million euros in 2021.

To date, De Paul has made 187 appearances for Atletico Madrid, scoring 14 goals and providing 26 assists.

De Paul has also performed well on the international stage. Since his debut for the Argentina national team in October 2018, he has made 78 appearances so far, contributing 2 goals and 11 assists, and has won 2 Copa America titles, 1 UEFA European Championship title and 1 World Cup title with the team.
