Paris FC announced on its official website Thursday that the club has signed French defensive midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou from Brest.
According to Paris FC's official statement, Lees-Melou has signed on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.
About Pierre Lees-Melou
Pierre Lees-Melou, 32, was born on May 25, 1993, in Langon, France. He is 1.85 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.
Lees-Melou played for Bordeaux's youth academy when he was young, but after being released in 2009, he joined the youth academy of a non-league club in his hometown of Langon and completed his Langon first-team debut the following November.
After years of playing in the non-league, Lees-Melou joined Dijon on a free transfer in the summer of 2015, turning professional.
In July 2017, Lees-Melou joined Nice for €5 million.
During his four-year spell with Les Aiglon, Lees-Melou reached the quarterfinals of the Coupe de la Ligue Cup once, the round of 16s of the Coupe de France twice, and the round of 32 of the Europa League once with the club.
In July 2021, Lees-Melou joined Norwich City for £6 million, but unfortunately, he was unable to help the Canaries avoid relegation.
The following July, Lees-Melou joined Brest for €2.3 million.
During his three-year spell with Brest, Lees-Melou made 95 appearances for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists. He also helped the club secure a surprise Champions League qualification once and was named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Year once.
