BSC Young Boys completes the signing of Augsburg's DR Congolese international striker Samuel Essende..

BSC Young Boys announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have extended the contract of its DR Congolese international striker Samuel Essende.
According to the Swiss Super League club's official statement, Essende has signed on a short-term two-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2028. He will also wear the number 99 jersey.
About Samuel Essende
The 28-year-old Samuel Essende was born on January 23, 1998, in Montfermeil, France. He is 1.92 meters tall, plays as a striker, and holds dual French and Congolese citizenship.
Essende joined Paris Saint-Germain's youth academy at the age of 12, began playing for their B team in 2016, and was loaned-out to Eupen in August 2018.
In August 2019, Essende joined Avranches on a free transfer.
In the summer of 2021, Essende joined Pau City as a free agent.
The following July, Essende moved to Caen for €550,000.
In the summer of 2023, Essende was loaned-out to Vizela, before his ownership was later permanently acquired.
The following July, Essende joined Augsburg for €3 million.
During his year-and-a-half spell at Augsburg, Essende made 50 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 3 assists.
