Spanish online media outlet Relevo's resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Matteo Moretto slammed Chinese online media outlet Dong Qiu Di for bringing up the fake news which claimed that Arsenal is interested in signing Inter Milan wonderkid Francesco Pio Esposito after a year-and-a-half again on Wednesday in his paid column.

In his column, Moreto refuted the rumours, saying that whether it is a year and a half ago or now, these news have always been completely fabricated fake news. He also admitted that he was thoroughly fed up with the repeated use of the same rumour.

He said, "In recent days, I've received many private messages from you all asking if it's really possible that the young Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito will transfer to Arsenal this summer, and hoping that I can respond."

"What I want to say is that, as of now, it's not true, at least I haven't heard of it. I believe that, like you and me, like many others, some scout, coach, or management member within Arsenal certainly admires a talented young player like Pio Esposito. However, that's all, nothing more."

"Not to mention that Pio Esposito has absolutely no intention of leaving Inter Milan, I Nerazzurri also have no intention of willing to listen to offers for the player. They are even preparing and hoping to extend the 20-year-old prodigy's contract in long-term."

"My memory might be a bit hazy, but I vaguely remember someone asked me, or my friend Fabri (zio Romano), the same question a year and a half ago, in the latter half of 2024."

"If I remember correctly, Feyenoord was also mentioned in this rumour at the time."

"I've seen some private messages saying that this rumour seems to have come from an Italian journalist, but I haven't found any colleagues who said that."

"I remember that at the time, it was because Santiago Jimenez was seriously injured and out for a while, so someone spread the rumour which claimed that Feyenoord planned to sign Pio Espositote to 'relieve the pressure on Ayase Ueda as the team's goal scorer.'"

"Actually, the same logic used by the person spreading this rumour can also be applied to Arsenal's current situation." 

"With Mikel Merino sidelined for some time due to a serious injury, and Bukayo Saka and Victor Gyökeres in poor form, Pio Esposito suddenly became the person who could 'solve the Premier League giants' problem of poor striker form.'"

"People who spread rumours based solely on their own imaginations are incredibly boring. Frankly, I'm also very tired of this kind of thing still happening."

After careful investigation, Dong Qiu Di fabricated this rumour on October 13, 2024, when the female rumor-monger "Heroine Sister" was at the peak of her habit of spreading fake news, claiming that Pio Esposito, then 19 years old and on loan to Spezia, had "performed exceptionally well, attracting the attention of multiple clubs, including Feyenoord and Arsenal!"

Time flies, and now it's February 16, 2026, and this same notoriously infamous online media outlet, Dong Qiu Di who is our website's "Daily Slap in the Face Party"  regular Chinese representative is still falsely claiming that Arsenal is interested in signing Pio Esposito!

Another unchanging rule is that Dong Qiu Di, just like in the past, has not taken responsibility for its deliberate fabrication of rumours about Pio Esposito and Arsenal, but instead continues to blame others from Italy!

This time, they've pinned the blame on Nicolo Schira, another mutual friend of Moretto and Romano!

It's worth mentioning that Dong Qiu Di still can't shake the fact that it uses articles from the low-quality content farm website FCInterNews to justify its fabrication of these Pio Esposito and Arsenal fake news stories.

Even worse, Moretto had already stated a year and a half ago that FCInterNews is a low-quality online media outlet that specializes in fabricating content about this Serie A giant!
