Enzo Maresca expressed satisfaction with his team's outstanding performance and crucial victory in the first leg of the UEFA League semi-final, but he stressed that it was only the first of two legs and everything was not over yet.  

Chelsea had an excellent performance against Juergen Koninklijke, winning the first leg 4-1 and setting a solid foundation for the final in Poland. Jadon Sancho broke the deadlock early to ease the tension, and Noni Maduek scored before half-time to extend the lead to 2-0.  

Nicolajson scored twice in the second half to ensure that Juergen Göran's goal was only a consolation for the hosts, as Chelsea head into next week's return leg at Stamford Bridge with a three-goal advantage.  

Enzo Maresca said: "First of all, I am very satisfied with the team's performance and the result. After all, this is a European semi-final, which is very important for the team."  

“Once again we started the game one way and ended up having to finish another way. I think we played pretty well in the first 70 minutes but the last 15 minutes were a little off. That could be because we were leading 3-0 or 4-0 at one point, but it’s a reminder that we can’t let our guard down because the game is always complicated and changing.”  

Enzo Maresca was quick to point to his side’s performance in the quarter-final of this tournament to emphasise that despite being ahead at Stamford Bridge, we still had to be careful. We had won the first leg but lost 2-1 to Legia Warsaw in the second leg, which was a big lesson for us.  

Enzo Maresca said: "The message we want to convey is that although we beat Legia Warsaw 3-0 away, we encountered difficulties when we returned to our home ground. This is a good experience for us. In the next home game, we need to complete the task and strive to successfully advance to the final."  

"The game is not over yet. We have the experience of playing against Legia Warsaw, which is very valuable for us because we have learned a lot from it. Next, we need to finish the task at home."
