Fulham are pleased to announce the signing of Premier League champion Oscar Bob from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee. Bob has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract, running until the summer of 2031.  

In an interview, the 22-year-old player said: "I am very happy to be here. I am very happy and excited to meet everyone today. I have always known that Fulham is an excellent club with outstanding players and first-class stadium facilities."  

“I spoke with my friend Sander Berg and also with the head coach. He gave me a detailed overview of the club’s system, the players, and the team’s current situation. The head coach seemed very approachable, so I made my decision quickly.”  

Tony Khan said: "I am delighted to welcome Oscar Bob to Fulham! He is a young player with great potential and a passion for playing for the club. Our goal is to continue the team's good momentum in the second half of the season, while also planning for the future development of the club."  

Oscar Bob is a technically gifted winger with excellent ball control and a wide passing vision. He typically plays on the right flank, but also likes to cut inside from the left, and can also play on the other flank or behind the striker. A Norwegian international, Oscar Bob came through the Vålerenga youth academy and joined the renowned City Football Academy after his 16th birthday.  

Interestingly, the 20-year-old made his senior team debut at the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season in a match against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium. This was also his first appearance in 26 appearances that season. It's worth noting that Manchester City ultimately won both the Premier League and the Club World Cup.  

Before scoring his first Premier League goal, Oscar Bob had already contributed to Manchester City's Champions League campaign. However, his goal against Newcastle United will undoubtedly remain a classic moment etched in the memories of the Citizens. In stoppage time at St. James' Park, with the score tied 2-2, Oscar Bob received a pass from De Bruyne, and with a brilliant dribble and superb footwork, rounded the goalkeeper to score the winning goal, which was also named the Premier League Goal of the Month.  

In the following season, he won the Man of the Match award with a brilliant assist, helping Manchester City defeat arch-rivals Manchester United in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium. However, due to a leg fracture sustained in training, he did not return to the field until April of the following year.  

At the start of the season, Oscar Bob became Guardiola's first choice on the right wing, starting in the first three rounds of the Premier League. Before his transfer to Fulham, he had made 15 appearances in all competitions. At his new club, he reunited with compatriot Sander Berg, who had been his teammate since Bob's first international call-up at the age of 20.  

To date, Oscar Bob has made 16 appearances for the Norwegian national team, scoring two goals, and will join the team for this summer's World Cup. He previously helped Norway qualify for the World Cup finals for the first time in nearly 30 years.
