Serie A club AC Milan recently officially announced that Igli Tare has been appointed as the club's first team sports director.

Tare will report directly to the club's CEO Giorgio Furlani and will be responsible for leading the club into a new chapter. The 51-year-old Tare was born in Flore, Albania, and has extensive experience in Italian football.

Tare, who was once a football player and played for clubs such as Brescia, Bologna and Lazio, quickly transitioned to management after retirement and served as the sports director of Lazio Football Club for 15 years. Under Tare's leadership, Lazio won three Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups, and Tare laid a solid foundation for the club's success.

AC Milan CEO Fulani said on Tare's appointment: "We are very pleased that Igli Tare has joined the AC Milan family. He not only has outstanding professional ability and determination, but also has a deep understanding of Italian football and a global vision. Tare will provide ideal support for the club's reconstruction and development and help us move towards higher goals."
