As he celebrates his sixth anniversary at Manchester United, Harry Maguire has expressed his anticipation and determination for the new season.

The 32-year-old English centre-back joined Manchester United from Leicester City on August 5, 2019, and has won Carabao Cup and FA Cup winners' medals during his time there.

Despite the team's ups and downs last season, Maguire still contributed several memorable moments. The most representative scene came in the Europa League against Lyon, when he scored a header in the last seconds of extra time to help the team win the opponent.

As he is about to enter his seventh season at Manchester United, Maguire stressed that both individually and as a team, he must do better than in the past.

In an interview, Maguire said: "This season, there are no excuses. We will have plenty of time to prepare for the Premier League games and we must make sure everything is ready. For me, it is to stay healthy, be ready at all times, and give my all for the team and the club."

Maguire also revealed that this pre-season training has been significantly improved in both content and quality. During the 2025 pre-season tour, the team will train in the United States for several weeks, allowing for more systematic tactical drills.

"The manager stressed that we didn't spend enough time on the training ground last season. Although this year's pre-season is a test for the body, most of the training is tactical content rather than just physical running. Being able to focus on tactical details in training is very rewarding," Maguire added.
