Neil Maupay delivered his first statement after joining Sevilla through the club's official media. He expressed his delight at completing the signing and meeting his new teammates, and his gratitude for joining the team.  

He said: "I am very much looking forward to starting a new journey in Seville. Before coming here, I spoke with the coach, and he said that the team needs a player like me. I also told him that I hope the two clubs can reach an agreement as soon as possible so that I can join the team."  

“I know him as a coach and I know about his past as a player. Although I didn’t watch many of his games when I was younger, I’ve always known he was very good. I admire his mentality and the results he has achieved with his teams. When you talk to him, you have an intuition that tells you what’s best for you. I think he’s a great coach and a great person. He’s approachable and can give players confidence, which is exactly what I need, so I believe everything will go well.”  

Speaking about his experience at the beginning of the season, Neil Maupay said, "It was really tough at the start of the season because I didn't get many opportunities to play. I could only sit on the sidelines and watch the games every weekend, which was quite tough. But I knew I had to train hard and prepare for my chance in January. Now I'm ready and I'm going to keep pushing forward."  

“I’ve played as a lone striker, a double striker, and even a striker behind the striker. I like to run a lot on the field , and it would be very helpful to me to be paired with a striker who is good at long passes or can create space by challenging the defenders. I will do my best to complete whatever the coach asks me to do.”  

“I am satisfied with my career. I started playing football very early and also experienced a serious knee injury, which was an extremely difficult recovery process. At 16, I went to England to prove that I was capable of establishing myself in the Premier League. No one will give me opportunities unconditionally; I have to earn them through my own efforts. I have never given up and I am very proud of that. Criticism may be easy, but I am very gratified when I see my achievements because I give my all in every training session and match.”  

After the first training session, he said happily, "The training went very smoothly, and I scored my first goal. What impressed me most was that every player was smiling and in high spirits. Coming to such an environment is very helpful for me."  

“Many people have told me that the fans there are very enthusiastic, and there are always cheers in the stadium . I’ve been there in person and seen how close the stands are to the pitch, which makes me really look forward to the game. I hope I can quickly connect with the fans because I always give my all in the game. My goal here is to do my best and I believe I can achieve great results. If I perform well, the fans will be happy. Our game is not only about winning, but also about giving back to the fans, and I’m ready.”
