On August 12th , JDG, thanks to Peyz's outstanding performance, swept FPX 2-0, successfully regaining their previously lacking form. Notably, Peyz achieved a pentakill on Kaisa in both games, becoming the undisputed star of the series.
In the first game, FPX , after an early bot lane battle, relied on a steady operational rhythm to secure two dragons and a Broodling, gaining a resource advantage. JDG , relying on Varus's relentless push in the mid-game, exerted constant pressure. Rakan repeatedly laid down crucial vision, successfully locating Jarvan IV and securing kills. They then reclaimed two dragons, completely turning the tide.
Entering the later stages, FPX's lineup was weak, JDG decisively took the big dragon and pushed forward to end the game, taking the lead.
In the second game, FPX continued their aggressive early-game play, performing strongly in teamfights, securing two dragons and three Broodlings in quick succession. However, JDG , leveraging their Plating gold, kept the gap close. In the mid-game, Eclipse's Crocodile and Sejuani reaped significant rewards in a 2v2 situation in top lane. Neeko's flawless initiation led to a double kill, and in subsequent teamfights, they repeatedly eliminated the team through counter-pushes from Tsar and back-cuts from Crocodile.
In the final dragon group, Peyz 's Kaisa was in full swing and completed another pentakill, helping JDG lock in the victory and defeat FPX 2:0 to get back on track.
Ultimately, JDG defeated FPX with a score of 2-0 , securing not only a valuable victory but also showcasing their execution and coordination in mid-to-late-game teamfights. Peyz , with his double pentakill on Kai'Sa, firmly established himself as one of the season's highlights.
