Tony Khan said: "I am delighted that Samuel Chukwueze has joined Fulham. He is a fast, powerful player with exceptional talent. He has played for European powerhouse AC Milan and represented Nigeria internationally, so he has a wealth of experience."
"He will join Fulham on a season-long loan with an option to buy. We warmly welcome him to the club and look forward to his performances in the team."
Samuel Chukwueze is a left-footed winger with explosive power and speed, known for his one-on-one play. He often operates on the right flank, but is also capable of playing on either wing. After completing his training at the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria, he was invited by Villarreal to play in Europe in 2017.
In October 2018, Samuel Chukwueze ushered in an important moment in his career. He made his club debut in the Europa League match against Spartak Moscow, which ended in a 3-3 draw. A month later, he scored his first goal for the senior team in the King's Cup.
Since then, Samuel Chukwueze has gradually established himself as a key player in the team and played an important role in Villarreal's success, including winning the Europa League in 2021 and reaching the Champions League semi-finals the following year.
After playing 207 games for Villarreal, scoring 37 goals and providing 29 assists, Samuel Chukwueze won the favor of Italian giants AC Milan with his outstanding performance. The latter signed him for 28 million euros and brought him to Serie A.
In his first season with AC Milan, the team won the league runner-up. Samuel Chukwueze's most memorable moment was scoring the key winning goal at St. James' Park in the Champions League away game against Newcastle United.
Last season, AC Milan reached the Coppa Italia final but ultimately lost 0-1 to Bologna, with Samuel Chukwueze coming on as a substitute in that game. It's worth noting that he was quite effective for Milan, playing 70 games over two years and contributing a goal or assist almost every time.
