Toulouse officially announced on Friday that they have completed the contract extension with Dayan Metali. According to the official announcement, his contract will be extended from 2027 to June 30, 2030.

Toulouse president Olivier Koloarec explained the decision to renew Metali's contract: "This signing is not only a recognition of his outstanding performances since the start of the season, but also further confirms our long-standing trust in him. His recent outstanding performances for the France U21 team not only demonstrate his personal growth, but also reflect the fruitful training work of our youth academy over the years."

"We have every confidence that he can continue his current good momentum and become a role model for many young players."

Toulouse sporting director Victor Bezani added: "We are very happy for young Dayan. This contract extension is the natural result of his utter dedication. He has worked hard not only this season but also last season. Back then, he hadn't played a single minute with the first team, but he never stopped working, learning and persevering. It was thanks to this perseverance and continuous improvement that he seized the opportunity this year. We hope that he maintains the same fighting spirit, the same energy and the same mentality towards progress going forward."

Metali, 19, plays primarily as a central defender. He joined Toulouse's youth academy from Collomier at the age of eight and made his professional debut for the first team in the first round of Ligue 1 on August 16 of this year.

So far, Metalli has played 7 Ligue 1 games for Toulouse, 2 of which were as a substitute. He has not yet scored a goal or provided an assist.

After completing the signing, Metalli said: "I am very happy to renew my contract with Toulouse. The club has witnessed my growth both professionally and as a person. My future goals? To get more playing time, maintain consistency, but most importantly, stay healthy - this is the foundation and core of everything."
