Will Alves is eager to continue the positive momentum after completing the first few days of pre-season preparations successfully. The atmosphere in the team has continued to be high since the pre-season friendlies began.  

Will Alves played in the first half of a friendly match against Peterborough United for Leicester City a few days ago. The academy-born midfielder revealed that the team is in good physical condition and there is a positive atmosphere in the training camp.  

Will Alves said: "I am very happy to be back on the court. Everyone got a chance to play and got into the rhythm of the game well. Of course, winning is also an added bonus."  

“This was a very positive week. The team performed well as a whole and achieved satisfactory results, laying a good foundation for the new season. Everyone worked together, the training intensity was very high, and we also did a lot of double cooperation exercises.”  

“This has been a very fulfilling and enjoyable week. Everyone was fully engaged and enjoyed the training atmosphere every day, which I think is the most important part. Although everyone was still a little tired before the game, everyone finally coped with the challenge successfully.”  

The two teams facing Boston featured a mix of young players and experienced veterans, and Will Alves believes that the young players from the academy benefited greatly from playing alongside experienced first-team players throughout the week of training and for 90 minutes in the game.  

Will Alves admitted: "I remember that I was a little nervous when I first joined. After all, there were a lot of experienced professional players around me. All I could do was learn as much as possible from them and work hard to improve my performance."  

“We have a lot of leadership players on the team, which is very helpful for us young players. They not only give us valuable advice, but also correct us in time when we need to improve. Overall, this is a very good team.”  

Will Alves played 15 times and scored 4 goals while on loan at Cardiff City in the second half of last season. He firmly believes that this experience made him more mature and comprehensive. Now that he has returned, he is confident that he can better cope with the challenges of the Championship in the new season.  

He said: "This is a very valuable experience and I enjoyed it very much throughout the whole process. Although it is a pity that the team was unfortunately relegated in the end, for me, being able to really start my career in the Championship is an unforgettable journey."  

“I hope to get more playing time in the Championship this season. Last season, I was under a lot of pressure because I was at the bottom of the standings, but this experience also forced me to grow and mature in the game.”
