Inter Miami officially announced the permanent signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder De Paul for a total price of €15 million.

Inter Miami announced on Thursday that they have officially activated the buyout clause for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrygo De Paul. The two sides signed a four-year contract, valid until June 30, 2029.
Since joining Inter Miami on loan in July, De Paul has played 11 MLS regular season games and provided 7 assists. He then contributed 1 goal and 1 assist in 6 playoff games, becoming a key contributor to Inter Miami's MLS championship win this season, alongside Messi, Yi Jianlian, and others.
Multiple media outlets have confirmed that De Paul's buyout fee is €15 million. He will occupy Inter Miami's "designated player" slot, and his annual salary will increase from $1.5 million to $12 million.
The 31-year-old De Paul came through the youth academy of Sporting Argentina and made his professional debut for the first team on February 10, 2013. The following year, he used Valencia as a springboard to Europe, and later played for Udinese and Atletico Madrid.
To date, De Paul has made 510 club appearances, including 34 Champions League matches, 3 Club World Cup matches, 177 Serie A matches, and 168 La Liga matches. During this period, he has scored 59 goals and provided 81 assists.
De Paul also made 83 appearances for the Argentine national team, including three Copa America titles (2019, 2021, 2024) and one World Cup (2022). He scored two goals and provided 11 assists, winning two Copa America titles, one European and American Cup title, and one World Cup title with the team.
