September 28th: Last year's rookies are entering their second seasons. After a year of adaptation, they're beginning to show their potential, but also facing higher expectations. Here are 10 second-year players who could have a breakout season in 2025-26.

1. Zachary Risasher

Zachary Lisacher had a solid first season with the Hawks, averaging 12.6 points per game and shooting 40% from three-point range , earning him multiple Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month awards. His shooting will be even more crucial as the Hawks push for the playoffs.

2. Reed Shepard

Reid Sheppard 's appearances were limited in strong-team situations, but he showed some outside shooting late in the season and will likely compete for more time in the guard rotation.

3. Rob Dillingham

Rob Dillingham has shown promise in limited action, especially when given extended minutes, scoring and playmaking. With Conley's changing role, he's expected to see opportunities.

4. Cody Williams

Cody Williams performed well in the summer league, and the team hopes that he can add strength to the front line after weight training.

5. Matas Buzelis

Matas Buzelis was reused in the second half of the season, with his average points per game rising to 13 points. His breakthroughs and shooting brought hope to the team's reconstruction.
