AC Milan officially announced on Thursday that Pervis Estupiñan has joined from Brighton. The two parties signed a five-year contract, which is valid until June 30, 2030.

AC Milan has signed the first Ecuadorian player in the history of the club with the arrival of Pervis Estupiñan, whose transfer fee is 17 million euros plus a floating bonus of 2 million euros.

According to official news, Estupiñan will wear the No. 2 jersey in Milan.

The 27-year-old Estupiñan plays as a left back and made his professional debut for his parent club, University of Quito, in the Ecuadorian League on February 1, 2015. He then used Watford as a springboard to land in the Premier League, but was loaned out to Granada, Almeria, Mallorca and Osasuna.

In September 2020, Estupiñan transferred to Villarreal for 16.4 million euros. He spent two seasons in Villarreal, during which he contributed 4 assists in 74 games in all lines.

With his stable performance in La Liga, Estupiñan joined Brighton for 17.8 million euros in 2022. After returning to the Premier League, he played 104 times for Brighton, scored 5 goals and provided 14 assists.
