Nottingham Forest officially appointed Anchi Postecoglu as the team's new head coach. He just ended his cooperation with Tottenham three months ago and now quickly returned to the Premier League to replace the fired Nuno Espirito Santo.

Postecoglu joked at the press conference: "Maybe I have to win a trophy in my first season to have a second year here." This remark revealed his ambition for Nottingham Forest and also showed a relaxed and self-deprecating attitude.

Last season, Postecoglu led Tottenham to win the Europa League, fulfilling his promise to win a trophy the following year, but was still fired because the team ranked only 17th in the Premier League.

Even more surprising is that Postecoglu admitted that he knew he was going to be fired before the Europa League final: "I knew it would happen a long time ago, so it's not a surprise."

"We won the game, had the parade and it was a fantastic three days and I didn't want this to spoil it, but then I knew it was over. It was a challenging journey but I'm proud to have been with Tottenham."

Regarding his coaching philosophy, Postecoglu made it clear that he would not give up his usual offensive style: "I like my team to attack, score goals, and play exciting football. I have won honors wherever I am."

"Sometimes the methods are different, but the principles are the same. I've tried almost every formation, but I always want my teams to be talked about. The fans won't love me from day one, I have to earn their respect. This is a unique club and if you can build momentum, great things can happen."
