Antonio Cordon has arrived in Sevilla to begin laying the groundwork for the club's preparations for the 2025-26 season, with the new director of football stressing that the team's success depends not only on performance on the pitch, but also on teamwork on and off the pitch.  

He said: “I have only been here for a short time and I have already greeted all the staff. It has been a while since I last visited the training ground, but this time I was particularly impressed. I saw that everyone was full of enthusiasm, with smiles on their faces and eager to get to work.”  

"I am convinced that we can form an excellent team here and unite the entire Sevilla family. My first impressions are very positive. I come here with the belief that we can grow and that we can take the club forward, because there is still a lot of room for improvement."  

Talking about the deal, Antonio Cordon said frankly: "When the president contacted me, I accepted it without hesitation. There are many reasons for this. First of all, I contacted Sevilla twice many years ago, but ultimately failed. This has always made me look forward to it. Now, at this stage in my career, I am eager to take on new challenges, achieve personal growth, and help others improve."

I will provide my insights to assist in selecting the right coaching team to ensure they can lead the first team to achieve our goals."
