Burnley defeated fellow newly promoted Leeds United 2-0 in the last round thanks to goals from Ugochukwu and Lum Chauna, securing their second victory since returning to the Premier League this season.

Burnley manager Scott Parker said in an interview, "Last weekend's victory has made the atmosphere of the whole team very positive this week. If we can get two consecutive wins, it will be of great significance, because in the Premier League, consecutive wins are very valuable."
