After finishing his national team mission, Casey McAteer returned to the team late, but in the second week of pre-season training, he has quickly engaged in high-intensity training and prepared for the new season with his teammates. Last weekend, Casey McAteer watched the team's warm-up match with Peterborough United at Seagrave and is full of expectations for the upcoming games.  

Cathy McAteer said: "The start of pre-season training is always challenging, especially since I arrived later than most of my teammates. However, I am gradually adapting to the state and regaining fitness is the norm in pre-season.  

“Having to be tested on the first day was probably the most uncomfortable part, but it was something that had to happen. Now I’m back with the team and it’s exactly what I expected. After a few weeks of rest, it feels great to be with my teammates again, rebuild relationships and focus on training.”  

"Their physical condition is better than those of us who have just returned from international matches. Although we have a few more days of rest, we must now step up our training and strive to catch up. This is our goal."  

"It's hard to relax, especially mentally. You're always thinking about pre-season and how to get back to your best. Of course, when you watch the game on Saturday, you're eager to play, but you also know that you're not at your best level yet. You still need to complete a few training sessions to fully strengthen your legs and try to play in the next game.  

"We train hard every day, trying to introduce new tactical ideas to improve the tempo of the game. As training progresses and confidence increases, we hope these efforts can be reflected in the game. Some of the team's players have played against the opponent before, so they know that the opponent is a strong team. This will be a severe challenge. Whether it is a friendly match or a formal match, the team always maintains a high desire to win. This is our goal."  

"The team's morale is high. Jinji performed well and continued to motivate his teammates. He repeatedly emphasized the importance of 'intensity' and reflected it in every training session. All players went all out and did their best, which is also our basic requirement for ourselves."
