On November 25th local time, a thrilling match took place in the fifth round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League. Juventus, after 90 minutes of intense play away from home, ultimately secured a 3-2 victory over Bodø/Glimt.
From the outset, Juventus displayed a strong attacking desire. Just eight minutes into the game, Weston McKennie's long pass from midfield found Francisco Conceição on the right wing, whose shot forced a save from Nikita Haikin. In the 11th minute, Vasily Ajic broke into the penalty area from the right and delivered a through ball; Fabio Miletti's shot was blocked by Frederic Bjørcan, and Manuel Locatelli's follow-up shot was also saved. In the 22nd minute, Conceição broke down the right and crossed, but Ajic's knee headed the ball over the bar inside the penalty area.
With Juventus' relentless attacks proving ineffective, Bodø/Glimt broke the deadlock. In the 27th minute, Patrick Berger delivered a corner kick from the right, and Kasper Hogg headed the ball on, assisting Ole Diderik Bloomberg to pounce and score. With Bloomberg opening the scoring, Bodø/Glimt took a 1-0 lead.
Despite trailing, Juventus continued their offensive pressure. In the 32nd minute, Conceição delivered a diagonal pass into the box, and Ajic's header was saved by Haikin. In the 33rd minute, Mireti attempted a volley inside the box, but Haikin made a diving save. In the 44th minute, McKennie delivered a cross from the right wing, and Conceição's shot inside the box was again denied by Haikin.
After the halftime break, Juventus quickly equalized after the break. In the 48th minute, Mireti cut the ball back from the right side of the penalty area, and Keinan Yildez's shot was blocked by Sandre Feth. Seeing that the clearance was not far enough, Lois Openda immediately scored his first goal for Juventus with a follow-up shot.
In the 53rd minute, Yildez crossed the ball into the middle during a quick counter-attack, and Miletti easily tapped it into the empty net. Although the goal was ultimately disallowed for offside, Juventus' morale remained unaffected. In the 59th minute, Miletti crossed from the right side of the penalty area, and McKennie headed the ball into the net, giving Juventus the lead.
From trailing by one goal to taking the lead, Juventus grew stronger with each passing minute. In the 63rd minute, Yildez broke into the penalty area, dribbled past Frederick Shevord, and then curled a shot that was saved by Haikin. In the 74th minute, Andrea Cambiasso passed the ball to the right wing, and Conceição, after a slight adjustment, fired a shot that went wide.
In the 84th minute, Bodø/Glimt earned a penalty after Juan Carvalho fouled Sander Oklund, which Feth converted. However, in stoppage time, Yildez broke into the penalty area and forced Hajkin to make a last-ditch save, allowing Jonathan David to capitalize on the rebound and score the winning goal.
At the final whistle, Juventus narrowly defeated Bodø/Glimt 3-2, securing their first Champions League victory of the season.
