In the seventh round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, Juventus faced Benfica at the Allianz Stadium. With goals from Kefren Thuram and Weston McKennie in the second half, the Bianconeri ultimately won 2-0 at home.

Eight minutes into the first half, Hershey Sudakov attempted a long-range shot from near the edge of the penalty area, which was saved by Michele Di Gregorio. One minute later, Keinan Yildez cut inside from the left and curled a shot in response, but it was successfully saved by Anatoly Trubin.

However, Benfica launched a fierce counterattack after conceding two goals. In the 79th minute, Brehme fouled Leandro Barreiro in the penalty area, and the referee awarded a penalty after VAR intervention. However, Vaglis Pavlidis made a bizarre mistake while taking the penalty, causing the ball to go directly wide of the goal.

Neither side managed to score again. At the final whistle, Juventus defeated Benfica 2-0.
