Sunderland announced on its official website on Thursday that Chelsea's Spain U19 international center forward wonderkid Marc Guiu has joined the club on-loan.
According to Sunderland's official statement, Guiu will play for the club on-loan until the end of the new season, with no buyout clause.
About Marc Guiu
Guiu, who is only 19, was born on January 4, 2006, in Granollers, Catalonia, Spain. He stands 1.87 meters tall and plays as a center forward.
Guiu joined Barcelona's renowned La Masia youth academy at the age of seven, and was named one of the best football wonderkids born in 2006 by The Guardian.
In the summer of 2023, Guiu was promoted to the first-team and completed his Barcelona first-team debut by coming on as a substitute against Athletic Bilbao in October of that year, scoring in the match.
Guiu joined Chelsea for €6 million last July.
Last season, Guiu made 16 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and helping the club completes the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup double.
