West Ham United have officially signed 19-year-old Scottish striker Daniel Cummings. The former Celtic youth striker joined on a free transfer after his contract expired and will join the U21 team for pre-season preparations.

Cummings joined the Celtic youth training system at the age of 5, scoring goals all the way in the echelon, and signed his first professional contract in 2022 at the age of 16. In the past season, he scored 29 goals in all competitions, showing a strong offensive talent, and made his first-team debut in the Champions League against Aston Villa in January 2025.

Facing a new chapter in his career, Cummings could not hide his excitement: "It's great to join West Ham United. This is my dream since I was a child. Every young player is eager to play in the Premier League, so when West Ham contacted me, I did not hesitate."

"I was impressed by the personal call from Noble and the clear path to the first team at the club. He told me that this is a club that believes in young people. I did a lot of research myself and there is indeed an opportunity to enter the first team here, which is exactly what I want."

Talking about his style, Cummings said: "I am a comprehensive striker who likes to run to the side and can also receive the ball with my back. But most importantly, I love scoring goals and celebrating with the fans. I will give everything for this club."
