Deschamps believes Rabiot's performance at AC Milan is good for France

France will face Azerbaijan at the Parc des Princes in the next round of European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Coach Didier Deschamps said in an interview that Rabiot's performance at AC Milan will benefit both the midfielder and the national team.
The 30-year-old French midfielder Rabiot joined AC Milan in September this year and signed a three-year contract.
So far in the 2025/26 Serie A season, Rabiot has played 4 games for AC Milan and contributed one assist to the "Red and Black Army".
In addition, France currently ranks first in Group D with 6 points, having defeated Iceland 2-1 in the last round.
France coach Didier Deschamps said, "From a mental and physical point of view, Rabiot is in better shape now because he has played several games in a row recently and performed very well."

On the other hand, French striker Mbappé was injured after scoring for Real Madrid in the La Liga match against Villarreal and was subsequently substituted.
When talking about Mbappé's injury, Deschamps said, "He suffered a minor injury, but it's not serious, otherwise he wouldn't be here.
