December 10th - The Suns narrowly defeated the Timberwolves 108-105. Williams contributed 22 points and 7 rebounds, Gillespie added 19 points and 6 rebounds, while Timberwolves' star Edwards had a game-high 40 points and 9 rebounds.

In the first quarter, the Suns quickly found their rhythm and led by as many as 9 points. The Timberwolves rallied towards the end of the quarter, narrowing the gap thanks to Edwards' consecutive scores, but still trailed 23-29 at the end of the first quarter . In the second quarter, both teams entered offensive mode, with the score fluctuating back and forth. Randle of the Timberwolves exploded in this quarter, scoring 10 points, but the Suns maintained their accurate outside shooting, finishing the first half with a 61-57 lead.
