Enzo Maresca stated that Chelsea must quickly recover from their Champions League defeat to Atalanta and ensure the team gives their all in the weekend's league match, aiming for a victory. In the Bergamo game, João Pedro scored his first Champions League goal, receiving a low cross from Reece James, giving Chelsea the lead.  

Despite Chelsea having a slight advantage in the first half, they failed to hold onto their lead. Atalanta then equalized through a header from Gianluca Scamaka, before Charles de Kettering Heller put them ahead. The second half was fiercely contested, but Atalanta managed to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory.  

After the match, Enzo Maresca said, "Our control of the game dropped after we conceded a goal. Although we scored in the first half, we also gave the opponent several chances. In the second half, we had two good scoring opportunities, but the opponent capitalized on our mistakes after the second one."  

"After the score was tied at 1-1, our control of the game dropped, and then the opponent scored a second goal. I think both goals were avoidable and were relatively easy to defend. We weren't under much pressure before the goals, but they definitely changed the course of the game. We still created chances to equalize after the second goal. Now we are at a crucial stage, and we must win the next game."  

Enzo Maresca points out that if Chelsea hope to advance directly to the Champions League round of 32 without having to participate in the play-offs, they will likely have to win both of their remaining matches: a home game against Paphos and an away game against Napoli.  

He continued, "Maybe if we win these two games, we could get 16 points and make it into the top eight, but I can't be completely sure. The most important thing now is to focus on the home game and the next match. If we want to make it into the top eight, we must win these two games, otherwise we will have to go through the playoffs to advance to the next round."  

However, Enzo Maresca's focus has now shifted to the upcoming Premier League match, where Chelsea will face Everton at Stamford Bridge. He believes this game is a crucial opportunity for the team to get back on track and shake off their recent losses. He stated, "The game is over, and now we must focus on the next match because we desperately need to win as soon as possible."
