Enzo Maresca said he was pleased with the team's excellent performance in the Premier League this season, and believed that the team's entry into the top four of the league and successful qualification for the Champions League were the due rewards for the players' hard work. The Premier League season reached its climax on the last day, with Chelsea and Nottingham Forest competing fiercely for a Champions League spot, and the season ended in a dramatic way.  

Chelsea’s solid performance at the City Ground saw them triumph, with Levi Colwell’s early second-half goal securing a 1-0 win and a place in the Champions League, an achievement the manager said was well-deserved given the players’ continued work since the start of the season.  

Enzo Maresca said: "I am very happy for many reasons, most importantly, I think the players deserve this honour. From the first day, they have always trained with all their heart. The club, the players, the sporting director, we are all working towards the same goal."  

“We always stick to our own style of play and hope to achieve good results in the way we set out. The players performed very well today and we made some adjustments in our off-ball movements, which also achieved good results. Although the playing environment was quite difficult, they coped quite well.”  

"I think we've played a lot of great games since January. Although not many people recognise it in the media, today we achieved an important goal for the club, so we're very happy about that."  

Enzo Maresca admitted that it was not easy to score at the City Stadium, and Nottingham Forest was a challenging opponent. In fact, from the momentum they showed in competing for the Champions League spot at the start of Sunday, the team's strength should not be underestimated. But the team defeated Nottingham Forest at their home ground, and this victory added a brilliant moment to the obvious progress of Chelsea under Enzo Maresca this season.  

The head coach said: "This game was extremely challenging. Manchester City lost here, Arsenal and Liverpool could only draw, and Chelsea won in the end. It is not easy. The players showed great strength and unremitting efforts."  

"In our industry, people tend to judge heroes by results. After today's game, if we didn't win, some people might regard this season as a disaster. But this is not the case. I have said many times that this season is actually very good."  

"We have improved from 12th place three years ago to sixth place last year and this season we have gone one step further to fourth place. At the same time, we have the youngest squad in Premier League history, which makes me very happy."
