Fabrizio Romano refute rumours claiming that Manchester United would sign Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adyemi in January..

Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has exclusively refuted rumours claiming that Manchester United would sign Borussia Dortmund's Germany international forward Karim Adyemi in January through his official YouTube channel on Friday.

In the video, Romano refuted thatm Manchester United not only had no intention of submitting a so-called £70 million offer to Dortmund to sign Adyemi, but the Red Devils didn't even have plans to approach Adyemi and his agents; the player is simply evaluating his future options.

He said, Manchester United would eventually sign a versatile player like Adyemi, who is capable of playing as a winger, center forward, or attacking midfielder, one day, but as things stand, it will certainly not be in the near future.

Romano added that while Manchester United would undeniably not pass up any opportunity to sign a player like Adyemi, the defensive midfield position remains a key area that the Premier League giants wants to strengthen next summer.

As he has reported several times since this summer, Brighton's Cameroon international defensive midfielder wonderkid Carlos Baleba is the only player  head coach Ruben Amorim has personally selected and most wanted to sign.

Besides this Brighton player, all other players rumoured online at this stage are basically nonsense.

He also said that while he respects the information and reports from other journalists, but he dislikes seeing media outlets and journalists in the UK misleading fans and giving false hope through fabricated stories.

Upon verficiation, the fake news which claimed that Manchester United wants to sign Adyemi for £70 million in January originated from the Manchester Evening News, a newspaper known for its sensationalist reporting on fake transfer rumours involving the Red Devils.

This news was immediately and widely reposted by the notoriously infamous online media outlet Dong Qiu Di, as well as content farms article writers from Sina, Tencent, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
