According to Bild, Sky Sports Germany and other media reports on Tuesday, Jan Bisek is considering leaving Inter Milan in January next year.
The 24-year-old Jan Bisek came through the youth academy at Cologne and made his Bundesliga debut for the first team on November 26, 2017. He subsequently played for Holstein Kiel, Roda, Guimarães, Aarhus and other teams before officially joining Inter Milan in 2023 for €7.2 million.
During his time at Inter, Bisek made 69 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing five assists. He also won one Serie A title and one Italian Super Cup with the team, and is increasingly regarded as a prominent representative of Germany's new generation of central defenders.
However, Bisek's tactical position at Inter Milan has declined significantly with the arrival of Christian Chivu and Manuel Akanji. So far this season, he has only played twice, totaling 157 minutes.
In order to better prepare for next year's World Cup, Bisek is ready to leave the Nerazzurri in the winter transfer window. He just made his debut for the German national team in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals in March this year, and a reduction in club appearances may have an adverse effect on his re-selection for the German national team.
Bisek has also been a target of interest in the transfer market. In the summer transfer window this year, he was a target for Crystal Palace, Frankfurt and other teams, but Inter Milan's asking price of 40 million euros deterred all potential suitors.
Inter Milan is also open to Bisek leaving the team in the winter window and has lowered his transfer fee to between 20 million and 25 million euros. If Bisek eventually leaves the team, the 21-year-old Ecuadorian central defender Joel Ordonez will be the favorite to replace him.
