Jack Hinshelwood looks back on his two crucial goals in his last game against Tottenham Hotspur. The midfielder is looking forward to the future at Brighton and says he will do his best to help the team improve this season with hard work, perseverance and determination.  

On the final day of the season, he scored twice in a 4-1 away win against Tottenham Hotspur, which ultimately ensured the team finished eighth in the league, the second-highest position in the club's history.  

Although the match failed to secure the team's qualification for next season's European competition, Jack Hinshelwood believes that the team's performance brings hope for future seasons.  

Jack Hinshelwood said: "Yes, we have tried our best and the manager has stressed over the past five or six weeks that we have no regrets and have given our all. Obviously, we have been disappointed at certain stages this season and felt we could have scored more points. But that is part of growth. I believe that as long as we maintain the current momentum, next season will be very good."  

"We've had our ups and downs, but we've also had some great performances. If we can continue to work hard next season, stay more stable, and keep our players healthy, it will greatly improve our competitiveness and give us a real chance."  

Jack Hinshelwood has scored five goals this season, which is a very impressive statistic for a defensive midfielder who also plays at both full-back positions.  

He said: "I tried to put myself in a favorable position in the penalty area. Fortunately, both balls fell to my feet today and I was able to hit the ball into the goal. It feels great to score every time, and it is really worth it if I can always have that feeling."  

"In the first half I played more of a striker role. Obviously, we were missing Danny Welbeck today, who has been crucial to the team throughout the season. Although this may not be my best position, if the coach puts me here, I will give my all and contribute to the team."  

He celebrated both goals in front of the fans, who always loved his passion and professionalism. Jack Hinshelwood said: "I can understand how they feel because I have been in that position. I understand what they want to see from their players. I am just trying my best. I may not have the talent of Mithoma or Joao Pedro, but I can guarantee that I will work hard and show my courage and determination."
