On this week's Monday Night Football, Everton defender James Tarkowski personally talked about his hamstring injury and revealed that he has completed surgery and is currently in the recovery stage.
Tarkowski said: "Unfortunately, I pulled my hamstring. I had surgery on Tuesday and am now focusing on the rehabilitation process. I expect to be able to take off the protective boot in a few weeks and then start resuming training."
"My goal is to get healthy before the new season starts. Hamstring injuries are not something you can rush. They can easily recur, so I have to be cautious, but at the same time I hope I can be ready for the new season."
He admitted that he realized the seriousness of the problem when the injury occurred: "At that moment I knew it was not good. I used to see players suddenly fall to the ground and leave the field holding their hamstrings. At that time, I thought, 'How did they judge that they couldn't continue to play?' Now I have experienced it myself. When the muscle suddenly tore, I immediately knew that I couldn't play."
“I was looking forward to playing in the last few games at Goodison Park and looking forward to the new season in good health. I was worried at first that the recovery time would be long. But now, I am ready to get back into training and work hard to return to the field.”
