Jaylen Brown on the blowout loss to the Knicks: Integrating new players and rebuilding team chemistry is the top priority.

Following the Boston Celtics' crushing 89-111 defeat to the New York Knicks on Sunday, team leader Jaylen Brown believes the team's problems lie in their offensive struggles and the growing pains following the arrival of new addition Nikola Vučević.
Brown did not show excessive anxiety in the interview, but calmly pointed out the team's current problems.
In that game, the Celtics shot only 37% from the field and a dismal 17.1% from three-point range. Brown bluntly stated, "Ultimately, it's a problem on offense. We have to make the shots. In modern basketball, you can't win if you only score 89 points."
Regarding the dramatic changes to the roster following the acquisition of All-Star center Nikola Vucevic before the trade deadline, Brown acknowledged that the team's offensive system had indeed stagnated.
“We need to work on the chemistry and the flow of the game a bit,” Brown said. “We want Vuc (Vucevic) to play more aggressively and build his confidence in his shot selection and catch-the-ball positioning. He’s still adjusting and learning, but we need him to be aggressive.”
Despite the frustrating loss, Brown emphasized that the team did a good job in rebounding (having several times more offensive rebounds than their opponents) and controlling turnovers, and that the foundation had not collapsed.
Regarding the direction of future adjustments, Brown said, "We will make targeted adjustments by reviewing the video and strengthening communication. This is just growing pains during the adjustment period, and we will become better because of it."
