Jurgen Strand-Larsen has enjoyed an outstanding debut season in English football since joining Wolves last summer, and he is very proud of his performances over the past 12 months, having set a career-best league goalscoring record.  

The player scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season, a number he had only reached in his career during the 2021-22 Eredivisie season, when he was the main striker for Groningen.  

In the past year, Jurgen Strand-Larsen became the first player in Wolves' history to score in four consecutive Premier League victories. In addition, he also broke Raul Jimenez's record of 13 goals in the 2018-19 season and became the Wolves' player with the most goals in a single season. He said that he will continue to work hard and strive for better performance after returning to Compton after the offseason.  

Jurgen Strand-Larsen said: "We completed the relegation task set in the middle of the season and I am proud of the team. Especially after a difficult start and six months of tough challenges, the team showed a tenacious ability to bounce back."  

“It was obviously difficult for me to integrate into a new team because the team didn’t always perform as expected. You always hope to make a difference from the beginning, and the process took a little time. Although I played good games in the early stages, we didn’t get the ideal points. I am very happy that we were able to achieve such a result in the end. At the same time, we must also learn lessons from it and hope to reduce the abnormal performance games next season.”  

"We have been through difficult times together as a club, team and players and have learned valuable lessons from them. While this does not mean that everything has changed, it is undoubtedly a key step to change the head coach. Gary O'Neill and all the staff have given their all, but sometimes situations just can't be improved. Football is challenging like that."  

“They have done very well during their time at the team, so that doesn’t mean they aren’t great coaches or great people, because they are. However, sometimes a football club needs a fresh start and new faces, and I think that’s what we need because we want all the players to really feel that they can fight for a starting spot. I believe Vitor Pereira has succeeded in bringing that competitive atmosphere back.”  

"In the last six months, Vitor Pereira has made enough changes to the team so that the players feel they always have a chance to start. This is crucial because the quality of training has improved and the overall environment has improved, but there is still a lot to learn and improve this year."  

“The most important thing I’ve learned since arriving here is that I’ve been able to adapt much earlier than before. In the past, when I moved to a new country, especially in Spain, it took me almost a year to integrate into the team and score goals.  

"So it's been a pretty good season for me. Of course, sometimes you have ups and downs, you get injured or you have other difficulties, and I've had that this season. But for me, being able to come back after the injury and the downturn is the most important lesson I learned from this season, and I'm proud of my performance."
