Liverpool will host Brighton & Hove Albion in the 16th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Liverpool defender Kelkaz Milos has stated that he enjoys the competition with his teammates within the team, as it constantly reminds and urges him to maintain excellent form and performance.
In the last round of the Premier League, Liverpool drew 3-3 with Leeds United after goals from Ekittik and Szoboszlai. Liverpool currently sit 10th in the standings with 23 points, having won one, drawn two, and lost two of their last five matches.
"Every game in the Premier League is tough, that's what I've learned since I got here," said 22-year-old Kelkaz Milos in an interview. "We have to be 100% focused in every game because any team can beat any opponent. We have to rediscover that feeling; it's not easy to play at Anfield. Hopefully everyone is ready, and those three points will be very important."
It's worth mentioning that, thanks to Szoboszlai's penalty kick, Liverpool had earlier defeated Inter Milan 1-0 away in the Champions League, successfully boosting the team's morale with a significant victory.
Kelkez Milos said, "That victory was very important for boosting confidence and team morale, and it also helped us regain the stability we need in future matches. We are also working hard to finish in the top 8 and advance smoothly in the Champions League. That was a very important victory, especially since it was achieved in a very difficult away game, which is significant."
“This is the first time I’ve experienced a rhythm of playing a game every three days, and I’m still adjusting. But it’s the manager’s decision, and the players can’t object. I also have Robertson by my side, who is an outstanding player, an important figure in the club, and has made a huge contribution to the team. We motivate and compete with each other, which is a positive competitive relationship, and I’ve learned a lot from him.”
Milos Kerkhove also stated, "Everyone wants to play every game, and I certainly do too, but the final decision always rests with the manager. Of course, proper rest is good for the legs and helps avoid injuries, so I feel great right now. I've always enjoyed competition and strived to be my best. I think that's very important, especially when your competitors are players like Robertson. If you play well and face that kind of competition, you have to maintain a high level."
“Without competition, you might start off playing very well, but then your form dips, and that’s when you need someone to pull you back on track. I think competition is really important. This is Liverpool, there are a lot of games, and you just need the best players, and that’s exactly the kind of team we are.”
