In an interview, the 26-year-old French defender Kounde talked about his position on the field and said that he was grateful to be in a team that is constantly fighting for the championship.

In the 2024/25 season, Kounde contributed 4 goals to Barcelona in all competitions and won the La Liga championship, the Spanish King's Cup and the Spanish Super Cup with the team.

"I feel very happy, I feel comfortable in the team and I have adapted to the club's ambitions," Kounde said in an interview. "I am very grateful to be in a team that is competing for titles every season."

"I'm 26 years old and I feel comfortable at right-back. I'm improving and I hope to make further progress this year. Of course, I'm always at the mercy of the manager, as he knows I can play in both positions. But at the end of the day, I'll always feel more like a centre-back than a full-back."

It is worth mentioning that in the 2024/25 Spanish King's Cup final against Real Madrid, Barcelona relied on Kounde's goal in overtime to defeat the opponent 3-2 and successfully won the championship.

"It was a goal that made Barcelona fans very excited. It's a beautiful memory, so I don't mind people around me talking about it at all," Kounde said.

Meanwhile, Barcelona will face FC Seoul in a friendly match. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said, "Although the weather here is very hot, the team has been training hard and showing quality and a clear goal."
