Kristaps Porzingis likely to play in Game 2 of playoff series against New York Knicks

Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis is currently listed as probable due to a non-COVID-related illness, and his ability to play in the second playoff game against the New York Knicks on Wednesday will be determined based on the situation.
Porzingis withdrew from the Celtics' 105-108 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 on Monday due to illness. Coach Joe Mazzulla said the illness may be related to his old illness that caused him to miss eight games from February to March due to an upper respiratory tract infection.
Mazzula said: "Since he returned in March, he has been fighting the virus. He has been trying his best to play, but yesterday's game was too difficult for him. He did a good job and always wanted to play for the team, but yesterday's condition made it impossible for him to continue. We have to see how he recovers next."
Porzingis was in hot form in the five games after returning from injury in March, averaging 24.4 points per game and hitting 59%. But after entering the playoffs, his form declined significantly, with a total hit rate of only 32% in the first six games, and only 2 of 17 three-pointers, struggling severely on the offensive end.
At the same time, another Celtics rotation player, shooter Sam Hauser, sprained his right ankle in G1 and is currently not participating in training.
With the series tied at 0-1, the Celtics not only have to deal with the on-court confrontation, but also have to make adjustments without a full roster. Whether Porzingis can return and whether his form can improve will directly affect the Celtics' chances of rebounding at home.
