In the 23rd round of the 2025/26 La Liga season, Real Madrid, playing away, defeated Valencia 2-0 thanks to goals from Carreras and Mbappe.

Ten minutes into the match, Real Madrid's corner kick was cleared, and Valverde's shot from near the edge of the penalty area went wide. In the 13th minute, Valencia defender Unai Núñez received the ball and unleashed a long-range shot, but the ball went over the goal.

In stoppage time of the second half, Brahim Diaz crossed from the left wing, and Mbappe seized the opportunity to fire a low shot into the net, helping Real Madrid extend their lead to 2-0.

Real Madrid ultimately defeated Valencia 2-0 away from home. After securing their seventh consecutive victory, Real Madrid sits atop the league table with 57 points, closely trailing league leaders Barcelona with 58 points.
