Levi Colwell says Chelsea have achieved their priority after their 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC, but the centre-back is adamant there is still potential to build on their first Club World Cup victory and achieve more.  

Pedro Neto's goal in the first half put Chelsea ahead at half-time, but Chelsea stayed focused in the second half, shutting out counterattacks and eventually extending their lead through Enzo Fernandez, who fired home from Liam Delap's cross.  

Levi Colwell, as an important member of Chelsea's defense, helped the team achieve the goal of keeping a clean sheet. Although he admitted that the game was not perfect, the overall performance was already very good. This victory also means that Chelsea returned triumphantly from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with all three points.  

Levi Colwell said after the game: "We won, and that's the most important thing. We had a good grasp of the offense and the ball. Although there is still a lot of room for improvement, in this kind of game, victory is the most important thing."  

"We will face opponents with different styles next, which is undoubtedly a huge challenge. But we will do our best, enjoy the process of the game and keep learning from it. The tournament has kicked off and our attention is now fully focused on the next game."  

Levi Colwell knows that only by laying a solid foundation for the team through defense can the forwards play their role in completing the attack. He added: "For a defender, being able to keep a clean sheet is always the most important goal."  

“We have many good attackers in our team who can always find a way to score goals. As defenders, our job is to keep a clean sheet so that we can win the game. Of course, there will be mistakes in attack, but we hope to minimize them in the next game.”  

Levi Colwell also praised the performances of several new signings, noting that Liam Delap provided an assist in the game and Dario Esugo showed excellent competitive form in his official debut for Chelsea.
