Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker gave his first full response to Mohamed Salah's controversial recent interview at the team's pre-match press conference before the game against Inter Milan.

Salah recently stated that he was "pushed under the bus" by the club after being relegated to the bench for three consecutive matches, a statement that has caused a huge stir. However, Alisson stated that he and Salah have played side-by-side for many years, and their relationship has never broken down.

Alisson said: "Mo is a legend, we've been through so much together. This certainly doesn't make me happy, but there's no time to stop and complain in football, we have to face tomorrow's challenges."

Regarding Salah's exclusion from the Champions League squad due to inappropriate remarks, Alisson emphasized that this was a consequence of his actions and believed his teammate was fully aware of it. Although he had not yet had in-depth discussions with Salah, he made it clear that their conversations would be private.

There were concerns that the incident might affect the locker room atmosphere, but Alisson admitted that while there were differing opinions within the team, there was no division. Alisson stated, "Everyone has different ideas, which is normal. But our biggest challenge right now is not arguing, but improving performance and our record."

Alisson also emphasized that this incident would not shake the team's trust in head coach Arne Sloth: "We believe in his philosophy and know that the responsibility does not lie solely with the coach; the players must share the burden."
