Liverpool's Colombia international left winger Luis Díaz officially joins Bayern Munich..

Bayern Munich announced on its official website on Wednesday that the club has signed Colombia international left winger Luis Díaz from Liverpool.

According to Bayern's official statement, Díaz has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. He will wear the number 14 jersey, which was vacated by Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee following his departure.

According to GOAL's resident renowned English Liverpool team correspondent Neil Jones, the reigning Bundesliga champions paid Liverpool a transfer fee of €75 million for Díaz, with an undisclosed amount in potential additional fees.

After completing his signing procedures, Díaz, who was interviewed by the Bayern Munich official website for the first time, said: "I'm very happy. Being a member of Bayern means a lot to me. They are one of the greatest clubs in the world. I want to help my new team with my style of play and my character. My goal is to win every possible title, and that's what our team strives for every day."

In a farewell letter to Liverpool fans, Díaz wrote: "I will always cherish the memories of these three and a half years. I came here with all the dreams of the world, and I leave proud of what we have achieved together."

"I've met so many incredible people, great colleagues, coaches who has been incredibly helpful, and fans who admire me so much. Liverpool is truly a special team, and I will always be here. Looking back, it's such a relief to see this cycle come to an end, and looking back, I realize how happy we were."

"Not just because of the trophies we won, but also because of the unity and friendship that made it all possible. There have been ups and downs along the way, as always, but always with truth. Just like a family should."

"It feels so good to leave now, feeling I've done my duty, and most importantly, to say goodbye as a champion. It would have been a perfect farewell if I hadn't lost a teammate in such a tragic way."

"As I said, and I repeat, I hold everyone in my heart, but one person in particular: Diogo (Jota). I will never forget him. We will never forget him. Thank you for everything. You'll Never Walk Alone."
