Mamadou Sarr, 19, joined Chelsea and signed an 8-year contract. The young defender said that joining Chelsea is his dream and he looks forward to winning the Premier League and Champions League with the team.

Mamadou Sarr from France played for Strasbourg in the 2024/25 season and played 27 games in the Ligue 1 that season.

When talking about his goal after joining Chelsea, Mamadou Sarr shared, "My dream is to win the Premier League and the Champions League with Chelsea, it's that simple. When Chelsea won the Champions League in 2021, Kante and many players performed very well. I also remember the year Drogba won the championship in 2012, and then Hazard led the team to win the game."

It is worth mentioning that Mamadou Sarr and Chelsea defender Gusteau were classmates. Mamadou Sarr said, "I know Gusteau very well because we went to school together in Lyon. I also know Andre Santos and Petrovic, and I know Lavia a little bit. We have played against each other and talked a little. He is a very nice person."

On the other hand, Chelsea will fly to the United States next week to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, and Maresca's team will face Leon in the first round of the group stage.
