Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral emphasized in his post-match press conference the team's clear advantage in the second half of the derby against Valencia. He analyzed his team's 2-0 victory over Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium, calling it an important and well-deserved victory.  

Marcelino said at the press conference : " The two sides were evenly matched in the first half, although we had a slight advantage. We controlled the tempo of the game and the goal before halftime was crucial. In the second half, our advantage was even more obvious and we created more chances to win. We are satisfied with winning at the Mestalla Stadium because it is a very difficult place for any opponent, and even more so for Villarreal. We haven't won here in many years, which also shows the toughness of the opponent and the stadium."  

“We controlled the game and carried the advantage into the final third. Although we still have room for improvement in depth and decision-making, the lead in the first half created favorable conditions for the second half. We had a clear advantage in the second half and this victory was fully deserved.”  

In addition, Marcelino was very satisfied with the team's performance in the first ten games. He said : " We are very proud of our current performance. The coach also praised Gerard Moreno, who has made 300 appearances for Villarreal. " I hope he can continue to gain more playing time and experience," he said. "We have to take it one step at a time.
