Prior to the match against Brighton, Malo Gusteau made it clear in an interview that Chelsea's top priority was to rediscover their winning ways in the Premier League. Chelsea had faced a demanding week, with trips to Munich's Allianz Arena and Old Trafford. On Wednesday, they showed resilience, coming from behind to advance to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.  

Chelsea defender Maro Gusteau hopes to carry his team's confidence and positive momentum into this weekend's home game against Brighton. While the 22-year-old admits recent results have been inconsistent, he is confident the team can learn from the experience and apply it to a busy schedule that begins on Saturday.  

Marlo Gusteau said: "It is crucial for us to regain our Premier League victory. This is also our only goal at the moment. We know that the previous games were not easy, but winning the game at Stamford Bridge is of great significance to the team, the group and the fans. We will do our best for this."  

“The victory over Lincoln City has boosted our confidence and restored a positive atmosphere within the team. This game was not easy as we came back from behind. We worked together and showed team spirit, and we will continue to work hard to improve ourselves.”  

“We know that some details were not handled well in the previous games, which is why we failed to win. I think it is related to the details on the field, the strength of executing the plan, and our desire and fighting attitude. Therefore, we need to build confidence, and the game against Brighton will be a great opportunity.”  

Despite the encouragement from the midweek victory, Marlo Gusteau knows Brighton will present a completely different challenge. Their technical quality and attacking threat will demand Chelsea to perform at the highest level.  

He added: "Brighton has many strong players who have always performed well. But we will be fully prepared and strive to defeat our opponents. Team cohesion and confidence are crucial for us, especially winning this game."  

Malo Gustó has missed just one match this season and has been a near-constant presence under the management of Enzo Maresca. The French defender admitted that he is enjoying learning from the coaching staff and welcomes the challenge of facing opponents.  

He said: "Head coach Enzo Maresca asks a lot of me and I enjoy it. I always try to do my best and can play in many positions. But for me, the most important thing is to perform on the pitch, keep improving myself and do my best to help the team."
