In a key match of the 28th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Liverpool, playing at Anfield, defeated West Ham 5-2 thanks to goals from Ektiik, Van Dijk, McAllister and Gakerbo.
Five minutes into the match, Szoboszlai's corner kick was cleared, Hrafinberg gained possession and passed it diagonally into the penalty area, where Ekitic fired a shot into the net, giving Liverpool a dream start of 1-0. In the 11th minute, West Ham captain Bowen took a corner kick, and Mavropanos' header went wide.
