RB Leipzig will travel to Millerntor Stadium to challenge St. Pauli in a rescheduled match of the 16th round of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Ole Werner stated that the team will not set limits on its goals, but will still strive for European qualification and even the Champions League.

With goals from Ridler Baku, Antonio Nusa and David Raum, RB Leipzig secured a 3-0 victory over Heidenheim in the last round of the league.

After winning two and losing three of their last five matches, RB Leipzig is currently in fifth place in the standings with 35 points, one point behind fourth-placed Stuttgart.

RB Leipzig coach Ole Werner said, "St. Pauli started the season very strongly, then went through a period of low points, but they have recently regained their defensive stability. They have returned to the compact formation that made them perform well last season, especially off the ball."

"We must be fully prepared for this because we will be facing a very strong defensive team with a solid overall structure, and they are also very threatening in transition. They have plenty of speed and the ability to make high-quality passes, and they also have many technically gifted players in the squad."

Speaking about Millerntor Stadium, Ole Werner said, "The atmosphere there is special. The stadium isn't very big, but the fans are very loud and always give the team positive support. However, I don't think the team needs to make any special preparations for it."

"This atmosphere doesn't have the kind of impact on the game itself that you have to deal with in advance. Without the surrounding community and the stadium, St. Pauli wouldn't be the St. Pauli we know and love. Playing at Millerntor Stadium is always fun, and I have very fond memories of most of the games I've played there."

Regarding European qualification, Ole Werner said, "I think we are strong contenders. We are currently averaging close to two points per game, and if we can beat St. Pauli, that number will increase further. There are probably six or seven teams in very close competition right now, and we are among them. But the key is to focus on ourselves and continue to drive the team's development. I think teams that can do that will ultimately achieve their desired ranking."

“Our goal this season is very clear: to qualify for Europe. As things stand, we're on the right track, but of course we don't want to limit ourselves. If we can finish in the top four, that would be even better.”
