Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner expressed disappointment at his team's defeat, which stemmed from a set-piece goal. This came after Crystal Palace's unbeaten home league run was ended by Manchester United. United, trailing in the first half, rallied early in the second half to score two goals and turn the game around. Crystal Palace took the lead in the first half through a penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta.  

However, Manchester United managed to turn the game around with two free kicks, and Crystal Palace failed to gain any points in this closely contested match. After the game, Oliver Glasner said: "The team played very well in the first half, and we deserved to be in the lead at halftime."  

“I’m very disappointed to have conceded two set pieces; the last three goals we’ve conceded have all been from free kicks. Although it feels like losing this game was completely unnecessary, we have to accept reality. It’s tough, but that’s the situation right now.”
