Inter Milan travelled to the Brianteo Stadium for a friendly match and defeated Monza 5–3 on penalties after Pio Esposito scored in regular time.

In the 13th minute, Inter Milan got a free kick, Dimarco took the penalty and shot directly, but the ball was intercepted by Monza goalkeeper Demba Thiam. In the 18th minute, Monza also took a free kick, but Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez saved the opportunity.
