Pistons star Jaden Ivey cleared to resume basketball activities, return date to be determined

The Detroit Pistons announced Thursday that Jaden Ivey has been cleared to resume basketball activities after a three-month absence. He has missed 48 regular-season games since Jan. 1 after fracturing his left fibula.
Jaden Ives, 23, plays as a point guard and was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the fifth pick in the first round in 2022. So far, he has played 181 times for the Pistons, averaging 16.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 42.9% and a three-point shooting percentage of 35.2%.
Ivey has played 30 times this season, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 30.0 minutes per game, shooting 46.0% from the field and 40.9% from three-point range. During his absence, the Knicks have a record of 29 wins and 18 losses.
According to the official statement, Ivey has now entered the first phase of the recovery training plan and will continue on-court training. His recovery progress will be updated in two weeks.
The Pistons are currently ranked sixth in the Eastern Conference with 44 wins and 36 losses, returning to the playoffs after five years. The playoffs are expected to start on April 19, and it remains unclear whether Ivy can return before then.
