Real Betis announced that it has reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to successfully introduce Spanish winger Rodrigo Riquelme. The player has signed a contract with Real Betis until 2030. This transfer has become an important reinforcement for Real Betis in this summer's transfer window, further enhancing the team's creativity and offensive threat on the wing.  

Rodrigo Riquelme came from the Atletico Madrid youth training system and made his first appearance for the first team in the 2018-19 season. After loan experience in Mirandas, Bournemouth and Girona, he returned to Atletico Madrid in the 2023-24 season and participated in the Champions League.  

Rodrigo Riquelme has been frequently selected for the Spanish national team's youth teams at all levels over the years, and made his debut for the Spanish adult national team in November 2023.  

For Real Betis, the joining of Rodrigo Riquelme has greatly enriched the team's technical and tactical options. His excellent dribbling ability, speed and offensive organization will inject new vitality into the team's left wing. Under Pellegrini's tactical system, Rodrigo Riquelme is expected to quickly integrate and become a starting main force, especially when the team is fighting on two fronts in La Liga and European competitions.
